Who are you Targeting?

Who is your target market?

There are demographic questions we need to ask to get a solid definition of our market.

What do they look like, how old are they, where do they live, what's their income, what's their education, what is their family life like?

There are also psychographic questions we must uncover to understand how our market thinks.

What is the pressing problem facing your market? For example, if you are targeting parents, the welfare of their children is a pressing issue. What are some of the goals and ambitions of your market? What about their hopes, dreams, and fears. Why do they buy from you? What do they want from you?

The deeper you dig into your target market the better marketing strategy you will create.

Knowing who we are marketing to is critical to business success. This small concept will earn huge profits and save precious time by knowing exactly who we are speaking to when creating marketing materials. We need to know the wants and needs, fears and concerns, hopes and wishes of the people who spend their hard earned money with us.
